OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson says speed racing is a growing problem. So, his office is cracking down hard.

“Traditional selective traffic enforcement is proving to not get us the results that we want,” said Hanson. “It is clear we are dealing with a group of speed racers that don’t mind paying a $400 speeding ticket and so now we are going to have to use advanced efforts and additional legal tools at our disposal to charge them with as severe crimes as we can…”
